Getting there, but still not working. I turned on -trace and now the problem has to do with the fact that Freevo is adding extra verbage to the command string that is not recognized by the version of mplayer I'm using ( 1.0pre5-3.3.4). I'm seeing this command in the -trace output:
app=/usr/local/bin/mplayer -slave -autosync 100 -nolirc -autoq 100 -screenw 640 -screenh 480 -fs -vo null -ao alsa -cache 100 -playlist mms://asx.abacast.com/wxrv.asx, poll=256 The problem is the ", poll=256". If I run the command from a shell prompt without the ", poll=256" then it works great.
