Justin,

do you have pyxmms installed? what version? What version of xmms do you
have installed? There is warnings in the pyxmms documentation that for
some versions of xmms it has problems telling it to do what it wants.

Like the subject sayes, I am trying to use XMMS for audio playback and it doesnt seem to work. I added this to my local_config.py

plugin.activate('audio.fxmms')
FXMMS_CMD = '/usr/local/bin/xmms'
AUDIO_PREFERED_PLAYER = 'fxmms'
XMMS_SUFFIX = ['mp3','wav','ogg','mod','flac','shn' ]

When I goto play a file, it uses mplayer still. Also, the suffix's in that list dont show up on the screen. I have to add them in the freevo_config, in the AUDIO_SUFFIX catagory for them to show up.

I've installed all the wiki said. It really doesn't matter anymore. I found out that Mplayer can us the xmms-shn plugin (with recompile). Mplayer once again is amazing.
