I'm sure that I'm not the first to notice this, but somewhere during startup the volume register of my ivtv driver gets reset to 90. This would be a great default value on a normal 0-100 scale, however the ivtv driver operates with a 16-bit number that goes to 65535 and 90 is obviously as close to zero as to be totally muted for all intents and purposes.
I tried to change this with the VCR_PRE_REC command, but this never gets invoked - possibly because ivtv is a special case?
Anyone know a fix for the problem?
What are the Freevo and ivtv versions?
