Ok, I've posted similar mail to directfb mailing list but i'm afraid it is indeed a question for freevo devel team.

I've been medling with freevo for quite a time, more than a year and a half. My goal is to build fully functional PVR system including recording and games. I'm using Shuttle SFF box with G400 dualhead and i'm very pleased with quality of playback from it.

So far i had little success with xmame emulator using directfb. Latest bug fixes (0.97) finally enabled me to run some games but it gives me another problem.

Until now i've run freevo with only options in /etc/directfbrc file: primary-layer=02. I use to remember that in some earlier freevo version i had to use sdl variables like this:

export SDL_VIDEODRIVER=directfb
export AUDIODEV=/dev/dsp
export SDL_AUDIODRIVER=dsp
export SDL_PATH_DSP=/dev/dsp
unset SDL_VIDEO_YUV_DIRECT
export SDL_VIDEO_YUV_HWACCEL=1
export SDL_DIRECTFB_MGA_CRTC2=1
export SDL_DIRECTFB_MGA_STRETCH=1
export SDL_DIRECTFB_MGA_OVERSCAN=1

Because only way for me to run xmame now is to use theese variables i want to make freevo use them again. Is there a way to do it?
I'm not shure how freevo works. Does it use SDL library or not?
