Who makes or where do you find the nvidia driver?  The X specific one is
good, but doesn't help with framebuffer output.  The kernel's
framebuffer drivers are ok, but I haven't seen reliable ways to switch
to output to TV.

My MASTER PLAN is to have DVI (non-HDMI?) or VGA input on a new large
TV.  Then I could run the radeonfb or the rivafb or something and use a
mainstream card that will probably have better DirectFB support.  Even
the G400 would be easier to configure without worrying about TVout.
