It should contain a path to a directory that contains you movies or
video files.

What I was trying to say is that it is not a fatal error message.

And what happens when you use MPlayer to view the TV?

You should have two log files mplayer-stderr.log and mplayer-stdout.log,
if in local_conf.py you have:
CHILDAPP_DEBUG = 1

Will you view the TV using MPlayer and then post these files.
