This is a common problem that I share with you. I know of no solution - I really hope someone will prove me wrong! There is a bug report for it but it hasn't been fixed for a long time. A very old driver worked but caused terrible freezes on resolution change, etc... The bug report is:
http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=309 to enable opengl instead, do: Option "OpenGLOverlay" "1" Then set up mplayer to use gl instead: MPLAYER_SOFTWARE_SCALER = '-vo gl2' However, I find just using X11 works as well... MPLAYER_SOFTWARE_SCALER = '-vo x11' And regardless of however much processing power I throw at it, on the TV I get (very slight) tearing. I'd love to hear suggestions! Processor is at max 40%. This problem is limited to using xv on TV out. There are GATOS open source drivers but I suspect your luck will vary depending on the exact card you have. I had no success. The alternative is to get an nvidia card.... Cheers Daniel --- Bryan English <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I'm trying to setup freevo on fedora 4 using an ATI > Radeon 9200.
