Hi Folks! I've got a couple of questions about menu items, and I'm wondering if anyone else has done/is doing something along these lines...
I've got a dedicated Family room box running Freevo on Ubuntu Fiesty. I'm adding a videophone package to it, and thinking of a web browser in the future, limited to a few kid's sites. The VOIP phone is the first priority, so the kids can chat with the Grandparents. I'm presently working on getting Ekiga (formerly Gnomemeeting) working with my Asterisk server. If anyone else has already done a videophone with Freevo, could you share your experiences? I'm thinking Ekiga with some LIRC mappings, but if anyone has experience with something more Freevo/remote friendly, I'm all ears... My next question has to do with menus... I know I could add commands (external programs) to the main menu using .fxd files, but that could make the main menu "busy". Is it possible to have a main menu item like "Misc Stuff", which lead to a sub-menu of the various commands? If so, how would I go about doing it? Would /etc/freevo/fxd/ be a good place to put various fxd files, or is there a "standard" location freevo will look? Thanks for your time! /Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
