I forgot about people trying to run freevo from the source tree, sorry about that but it's not really recommended as certain modules may fail. A better method is described in the contributing section of the wiki. You will need to run a python setup.py build or an ./autogen.sh revision for the latest svn version to work. I've added the revision number to the splash screen when it is a svn version and also to the logs. The recording server logging as also been updated with the precise time stamping that the logging module allows.
