Funny I don't see anything here, as far as Freevo is concerned the
programme is still recording. There are no stop events or any indication
that there was a problem.

This means that either the ivtv driver crashed, if so there may be some
indication in the kernel logs (/var/log/messages but could be called
something else) or the ivtv_record plug-in crashed which should show in
the recordserver log.

What happened in the logs at 19:00 when Freevo should be stopping the
recording?

One option is to update the ivtv driver and firmware to the latest release.

I would expect that the image is either squashed or cropped. If it is
squashed then the telly maybe correcting it and would show differently
on a PC monitor.
