Thanks - I tried that twice and it didn't work. I then deleted all
/usr/bin/freevo* and then deleted the cache etc. I also noticed that
there were a lot of errors related gconfd that were being recorded in
/var/log/message.

Finally, I did delete everything that I could think of including
/etc/freevo/* and /root/.freevo/ etc.

I just reinstalled kaa-* and freevo rc2 and looks like things are back
to normal.

Btw, the patch that Duncan mentioned (the one that he uploaded) was
not necessary for me (if I understand it correctly) since it pertains
to tv and I don't use freevo to watch TV.

I have yet to try out apple.trailers using xine (because my network is
acting up).
