I think it should be easy to make a config option and it has no
drawbacks.
The problem with the behaviour of the Transition class is that it blocks
the main thread doing the fading. When I did the tests setting speed to
4 gave me a compromise between eye candy and speed. Maybe 6 will be
better.

What I don't know is if we can do the fading in a different thread and
capture the events fading between 2 or 3 screens at the same time. That
would be very nice visually and will feel the input response more natural.
