Hi. I remember similar threads in the list some months ago, but I don't remember if there were any solutions/conclussion. Just a question: when you say 50% cpu used, is it only for the mplayer process, or overall? If you use the same mplayer command, the result should be the same (I know it isn't). Could you change your freevo config, so that you have only -vo xv?
