I think that you may need to set-up a TV_FREQUENCY_TABLE in 
local_conf.py for some of your TV channels. For example:
( 'abchd.free.au', 'ABC HD', 'ABC HDTV' ),
'abchd.free.au' is the channel name in your TV.xml
'ABC HD' is the display name in the TV guide and
'ABC HDTV' is the frequency lookup key in src/tv/freq.py

Since 'ABC HDTV' does not exist in the src/tv/freq.py you can map it 
yourself in TV_FREQUENCY_TABLE table.
