Hello all Freevoer's...

I am new here but have been looking at all the documentation and looking
throught the Wiki and Forums. I am currently running Ubuntu 8.10 and can't
for the life of me get Freevo 1.8.3 installed.

I tried source, I tried Apt-Get, followed some of the directions in the Wiki
under FreevoAptUbuntu but still cannot get it to work.

I was able to play with the LiveCD but that is an older version.

Why is there no simple clear instructions for a newbie user? Or better yet a
one click install?

It is very frustrating wanting to use what looks to be a great media center
but can't get it working.

I am not a techno neophyte but I am semi-new to Linux. I came from Windows
to escape :)

Any help, pointers, directions would be great!

Thanks,
Phil
