Thanks for your reply. To answer your questions:

I used "scan -c" because I tuned in the multiplex with dvbtune and the -c
option uses the currently tuned multiplex.

I use the following command for setupdvbstreamer:
setupdvbstreamer -s channels.conf -l ENHANCED
I used the ENHANCED option to suit the frequency of my LNA.

I have no idea where it is getting the 1243741221. frequency from, it's
nowhere in my
channels.conf ...

Here is part of the log file from dvbstreamer, maybe that helps ..

It seems to only get partway through the channel load, also I notice that
Maori TV is 0x000, that doesn't look right ..

By the way Maori TV got missed off the channels.conf file, it was ..
Maori TV:12483:h:S160.0E:22500:514:652:0:0
