I recently upgraded my freevo box to a new motherboard that uses the AMD Radeon HD 6410D chipset.
The only way I could get it to work was with the proprietary fglrx driver (the open source driver requires KMS which is a sure-fire way of crashing the kernel). But now I have the choice between 'tearing' of video and a very low framerate (when I check the no tearing option in the amdcccle tool). Does anyone know what is the right way of getting this video chipset to deliver the promised performance?
