Hehe, take it easy mate. :) Besides the fact that you're absolutely right, my intentions were rather to criticise the way of disabling ciphers in trunk with no reason. Especially as it created problems in existing environments (like e.g. mine). So it's true, that there hasn't been done anything about it. Probably the best thing would be to just enable the ciphers in trunk and to wait for the style upgrade. So I think at least the version downgrade might has been done unnecessarily.
