This will change soon, because of some hen-and-egg problems and because
some developers do not seem to understand the logic.

I will fix that. If ed exists _at all_ in the path, it should only be a
warning; that “should” be enough for FreeWRT, but it's still recommended
to place it in /bin for portability (and FHS compliance).
