Extraction is broken anyway. Sometimes, they're extracted even if
they're already there, without cleaning first. Usually, the patch
stage fails.

Shouldn't that be \* instead of simply * ?
(Read the documentation of tar too, and I hereby do not mean the
GNU tar texinfo pages, but
        $ cd ${TOPDIR}/tools/paxmirabilis/src
        $ nroff -c -mdoc tar.1 | less
ours. http://www.mirbsd.org/man1/tar.htm works fine, too.)
