The hotplug script smelled fishy… I learned that | grep ... >&- will never work because grep expects stdout usable (>/dev/null works tho).
Just use a cronjob with "rdate -n $server" (or, if you want it to use adjtime(), "rdate -na $server"). //mirabile -- I believe no one can invent an algorithm. One just happens to hit upon it when God enlightens him. Or only God invents algorithms, we merely copy them.
