The user has attached a screenshot of an error message which, indeed,
indicates that pscp (PuTTY’s version of the scp(1) command) defaults
to using SFTP and aborts instead of falling back to the SCP protocol.
Since I don’t have any Windows® machine handy: does anyone know what
the user must do to make pscp use the SCP protocol?
Please direct replies *also* to Olaf, as I don’t know if he has sub-
scribed to the mailing list (yet).
Thanks,

PS: I have adjusted the website to indicate that freewrt-users@ is the
place to go for “basic” (unpaid) support, I think this is how they
were initially designed.

Sometimes they [people] care too much: pretty printers [and syntax highligh-
ting, d.A.] mechanically produce pretty output that accentuates irrelevant
detail in the program, which is as sensible as putting all the prepositions
in English text in bold font. -- Rob Pike in "Notes on Programming in C"
