The general idea is to take an existing package close enough (in style
of dependencies and build system) to the one you want to create, then
copy and change.

I’d help, but I’m only making packages for trunk. The package system
in the 1.0 series, in my personal opinion, is crazy (leftovers from
the “buildroot” system, I think). But the Bielefeld guys (well, those
pretending to work there ☺) might help.

FWIW, I'm quite impressed with mksh interactively. I thought it was much
*much* more bare bones. But it turns out it beats the living hell out of
ksh93 in that respect. I'd even consider it for my daily use if I hadn't
wasted half my life on my zsh setup. :-) -- Frank Terbeck in #!/bin/mksh
