This is after the first (jffs2 induced) reboot, isn't it?
And only if fwcf wasn't used before?!

Sounds like something we could do, but ask the others.

How about, using the existence of the dropbear ssh keys as
flag whether to commit. (What do we do about sshd? I guess
if not using dropbear, the init.d script is just not run,
thus, this piece of code isn't, either.)
