I have a workaround that makes it stable:

#!/bin/sh
#

case $1 in
autostart|start|restart)
  /sbin/ifdown eth2
  /sbin/ifup eth2
  ;;
esac

exit 0
Don't ask me why this fixes the problem, but it does.

Regards,
Georg
