Some frustrating news. I flashed the router with a new firmware. This
time I used the standard kernel configuration. I've chosen no custom
options, just selected my router as a target. But the bittorrent problem
is still present. So kmod-sched is not the problem.

And it looks like the problem is "cumulative". Yesterday evening I
leached some Megs of data and the router was still running when I went
to bed. Today I turned on my notebook, Azureus started downloading again
and after two minutes the router was dead. Normally it takes 1-2 hours
before the router dies. That's why I think yesterdays bittorrent session
brought the router nearly at its end and today some bytes were enough to
finish it.

Haven't configured syslog yet to log onto my notebook. I'll configure it
this evening and hope it will tell me something interesting before it dies.

Maybe finding this problem could be accelerated when someone with an
Asus WL500gP and a connected serial console can check this out. I
recommend using the bittorrent client Azureus (Available for Windows,
Linux and Mac) and start downloading the Ubuntu Linux DVD with it.
