Martin:

Recently I've used the following...

1. Dell Latitude CPi 366
Very tidy machine, good looking, but v. v. pricey.

2. HP OmniBook 4150
Similar in look, performance and price to the Latitude.

3. Dell Inspiron 7000
All the bells and whistles, but big and ugly.

4. Toshiba Libretto 110
Underpowered, but so small it fits in a pocket. Sexy, but a typist's
nightmare.

I guess the thing about laptops is, it really depends on what you want to do
with them. The Inspiron 7000 is a good desktop replacement, but no good for
lugging around. The Libretto wouldn't be much good for even moderate use,
while the two pricey ones are expensive compromises.

Notebook users (especially Dellies)

What's the best notebook - did the Dell Inspirons turn out to be
really reliable compared to the old Latitude notebooks?

Any comments appreciated (I may have to buy one shortly)
