I've just finished upgrading transcode. I tried running it again and got the same "libdl.so.s" error. DVDRip continued to start though (spewing errors). Once it had started I went to preferences and set the NPTL workaround to "No". Now when to start it there is no "libdl.so.2" error -- so it looks like that was the cause somehow. However, it it fails to start and just displays: [filterlist] (re)scanning transcode's module path /usr/lib/transcode... But I can see from other messages that you already know about that problem.
