The trick with bubbles seems to me to be to choose the right time to let
the pressure out as fast as its being pumped in. That way they they
stay nicely inflated, you discover a plentiful new resource, and they
don't pop. The vested pumping interests are a problem, and the
constant battle between general certainties and distracting particulars,
with hesitant defenders of things blowing up being their own worst
enemy.
