The following is an update to SB 283 - "Update State Rail Plan"

LC1135Ron Erickson(S) Transmitted to House02/14/2009Update state rail plan

SB 283 had its' 2nd Reading on the Floor of Senate on Fri. Feb. 13.  The
bill passed by a vote of 48 Yes and 2 No.  The 2 No votes were State Senator
John Brenden - (R) - SD 18 - Scobey and State Senator John Esp - (R) - SD 31
- Big Timber.

SB 283 had its' 3rd Reading today, Sat. Feb. 14.  The bill passed by a vote
of 46 Yes - 2 No - 2 Excused.  The 2 No votes were the same individuals as
noted above and those excused were State Senator Ken (Kim) Hansen (D) - SD
17 - Harlem and State Senator Ryan Zinke (R) - SD 2 - Whitefish.

SB 283 passes and has been Transmitted to the State House for a Committee
assignment.

Please watch for future details on when SB 283 will be heard in a House
Committee.
