The AGS seems to be a variant of the M777 program. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M777 Using GPS guided munitions the M777 claims a CEP of 5 metres at 25 km.
Another advantage is with rapid fire rates of around 6 shells per minute through automated loading systems (only the fuses are lowered by hand), you can vary the trajectory (say 50, then 40 then 30, then 20 degrees) of a burst to have all the shells arrive at the same place same time.
