The Coffee Shop Strong John's will be closed this week. A couple of times in the past we have used Saveur as an alternative. I was just there and confirmed that they will be open this Friday. They said they could handle a group of a dozen or so. The coffee and food are very good.
It's located at the intersection of Cerrillos Road and Galisteo. That's downtown near the new courthouse and the attorney general's office.
