8 Ways to Stay Ahead of Influence Operations https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/08/12/8-ways-to-stay-ahead-of-influence-operations/ > The public must learn to become reflexively suspicious of information that > makes them angry at fellow citizens.
I'd add to that the public must learn to be reflexively suspicious of information that stirs schadenfreude or demonizes fellow citizens. And it's not just anger, schadenfreude, or demonization but *fear* as well. With Nick's recent expression of an existential fear and Dave's expression of his fear of political opponents (leftists), any bit of fodder that comes across your desk that evokes your *fear* should be either ignored or aggressively disassembled. Easier said than done, I know. Every time I try to condition myself with images like this: https://www.google.com/search?q=trypophobia&client=firefox-b-1-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwid3PHEyOjoAhXTsZ4KHSVWA_0Q_AUoAXoECA0QAw&biw=1717&bih=929 I can't help getting nauseous. But my time watching horror flicks is well spent. 8^) -- ☣ uǝlƃ .-. .- -. -.. --- -- -..-. -.. --- - ... -..-. .- -. -.. -..-. -.. .- ... .... . ...
