The large scale stuff is from first principle fluid mechanics. Small scales are
modeled. Questions are on initial conditions and boundary conditions. The
Severe Storms Lab at OU has very good people.
P.S. Kelvin Droegemeier from OU has been Trump's Science Advisor since January,
2019. He was named acting director of NSF on April 1, until the new director,
Sethuraman Panchanathan of Arizona State, is confirmed. Droegemeier is a
member of a conservative Christian church, LIfe Church. He may have done a
little to persuade Trump not to hold an anti-climate change review panel.
