My background in economics is quite limited, and I haven’t done many large
ABM models yet, so these references are going to be really helpful.

I usually prefer figuring things out on my own first, and once I’ve made
some progress, I dive into what others have done. I find that helps me
build my own point of reference. I’ve reached that stage now, so it’s a
good time to explore other approaches.

On a broader note, with AI now taking care of the detailed work, a whole
new world is opening up for "conceptual thinkers" like myself. Having a
capable and willing assistant to handle the gritty parts is a game-changer.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing a big leap in the productivity
of developing breakthrough software and other technologies too of course.
(Not that I’m claiming my own work is anywhere close to that level!)
