I've just tested sbcl-1.3.4. It does not compile fricas: this terrible 20x memory-usage regression is still present. At least 20x: sbcl-1.3.0 easily compiles fricas in 1 gigabyte, >=1.3.1 cannot do it in 20 gigabytes. Very probably, the regression is in fact infinite. Probably, it is triggered by some rare situation (e.g., sbcl-1.3.4 can compile maxima without problems).

Going back to sbcl-1.3.0, the last working version.
