Literally speaking I suspect that you violated BSD: BSD (like GPL and most open source licences) states: Redistributions of source code must retain the above copyright notice This is a problem for uses like Wikipedia: if you follow letter you may easily create mess where it is impossible to see real information among copyright notices. I do not know how Wikipedia solves this problem. Maybe they forbid to use _any_ copyrighted material (beyond fair use). Maybe they have double standards (reject/accept based on some arbitrary criteria).
