Hi all,
after checking the prices in the buying club catalogue yesterday, I was
surprised to find that
many of them were actually higher than buying from Trader Joes. As a result
I called Mt. Peoples
and was able to set up a wholesale account with them, using Art Dogs and
grace, "the cafe", as
the purchaser. They are sending me a wholesale catalogue. The downside of
this is that all
orders will have to be placed through the store. The upside is that we'll
all save money. An
example is a 4 pak of Crystal Geyser Juice Squeeze is 2.60 at buying club
prices, $2.48 at T.J.s,
and $2.28 wholesale. ($3.85 at Wild Oats, the corporate scum...) So, my
plan is to wait until
the wholesale catalogue gets here and order that way. When I spoke with
their rep, he was
very nice, and basically gave us the wink and nod for ordering this way,
saying that he realized
we Renoites had "been through alot" in losing our co-op. Ain't it the
truth. I will let you all
know when the wholesale catalogue arrives.
