Hi Carol,

Sorry you're messages got held by Mailman. I must have miss-configured
something in the Co-op (admin) list, which I use to archive PayPal
data. (At least it was you who discovered the bug and not someone
else who might have been really confused ;-)

Hmmm. I keep forgetting to explain on the site that payments under
$10 should add $.50 instead of 5% because PayPal charges a flat $.30
fee on payments under $15; so we can end up loosing money on small
payments. (Some JavaScript to automatically calculate this in the
quick payment form would help, I think.)

Maybe. I think PayPal has one other shipping per item field which we
might be able to use for this, but I'm not counting on it. The real
solution for now is probably to have people add the items to their own
pages, calculate the total there, and then we can check their work and
send a group money request at the end, to make sure everything is
okay...

I've been calculating the 5% POST tax because Leigh will be paying tax
on the original cost of the item, not the cost plus 5 percent, but I'm
not sure if the tax people could end up complaining about that(?)

Fire away...
