Cordialement, Antoine D. ----8<-----------8<-----------8<---- Akamai Technologies Senior Network Strategy Manager EMEA - Emerging Markets Overview: About the Job The individual in this role will be responsible for the development of key relationships to ensure these relationships meet Akamai's needs for capacity, network performance and cost reduction. They will work closely with internal legal and technical teams to identify the right commercial and technical terms and then will drive the negotiation and execution of the necessary contracts. They should have the ability to find creative solutions to complicated negotiation challenges. About the Team The Network Strategy team is responsible for managing and maintaining business relationships with Internet Service Providers and datacenter operators around the world. The team works closely with both existing and new vendors to identify cost effective business relationships which often go beyond industry standard customer/vendor relationships. Akamai is looking for an individual who has experience and skills in technical negotiation and business development to join this team. Responsibilities: * Manage, maintain and develop business relationships with Internet Service Providers and datacenter operators in EMEA. The primary responsibility will be in the Emerging Markets of EMEA, starting with Eastern Europe. * Work with our regional sales teams to gather the requirements of our global customers. * Help define strategies to establish a competitive edge. * Interface to internal and external technical network engineers. * Expand capacity with the major networks in each country. * Define and execute strategies for lowering costs and increasing performance. * Negotiate the business and technical terms of each relationship. * Find solutions to complicated negotiation challenges. * Analyze the market and identify new partners. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications * At least five years experience with contract negotiation with major providers and over ten years of work experience. * Excellent experience and knowledge with Internet Service Providers and datacenter operators in EMEA. * Strong understanding of the dynamics of bandwidth prices and network performance * Fluent in written and spoken English. * Excellent organization skills and a desire to negotiate partnerships given technical and business constraints. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Desired Qualifications * Ability to develop long-term business relationships with business and technical staff at multiple levels within major providers. * Comprehensive knowledge of Internet protocols, CDN¹s and networks. * Technical sales experience in the data network or telecommunications industry as either a pre-sales engineer or a sales executive.
