today i reviewed our sfd-szeged project's status and worked on putting together the contents of the cd sets we hand out. Personally i think such a great distro is a must-have for the expected ~100 tech-geeks. I've peeked the roadmap, and it shows the 0.5 release is planned for sept 30. This is very close to sept 16, the date of the event, but way ~2 weeks after. I also noticed that the current release plans includes a 2 week longer period between the last RC and the release. What a pity :( (please don't flame on it, i think more time to fix some bugs is The Good Thing (tm), it's just unfortunate for now)
0.4 is not considered as it is technologically inferior to 0.5 with many changes, fixes, the planned sec support idea etc. Do you have any ideas how could be the participants given a copy of some sort of Frugalware that a, don't have known sec. holes and not an age old b, not a developer oriented preview, preferably stable (as it can be) and upgradable without a major effort to 0.5? ---- Péter _______________________________________________ Frugalware-devel mailing list [email protected] http://frugalware.org/mailman/listinfo/frugalware-devel
