hi
since we have our new homepage engine, we haven't touched the NEWS and
NEWS.xx (for i18n news) files. here is an idea how we could use them:
when there is a release, i have to write an announcement and i really
hate to write it, i have to read the full darcs log and pick up the
"interesting" items - it's a boring job
the idea would be that if you do something interesting, that could be
included in the annuncement (basically anything that is more then a
simple version bump or a new perl module) then please update NEWS, it
will make writing the announcement much more easier for me
ah, and please keep in mind to include changes which are interesting for
users, ie. no user will care about makepkg improvements :)
as a start, i've added 4 entries about the dbus/neon update, the usb
installer and about the java updates
udv / greetings,
VMiklos
