Yes it is intentional and won't change. We don't know whatever the
installtion is
for multiuser environment or not and a *normal* user is _not_ allowed to
shutdown the box.

i knew it is behind the scenes... i don't want you to change that, just
asked to be sure. it is a point where a destop+server+everything_in_all idea
fails, one have to make a decision favoring one from the many. Don't take it
personally, i'm only not accustomed to servers having a GUI (except terminal
server made for specially that purpose), therefore the GUI===desktop for me
:D
