I think yes .. 

Probably for testing we could add some --with-both-formats makepkg option 
so we ( the devels ) could use the option to generate 2 fpm's one bz2 and one
lzma compressed. That way we could at leas find some bugs IMO.

Well but when we are going to do that probably is a good idea to change the man
pages compression ( probably other docs and the like )  to lzma too ?
