Hi, I propose to delay 1.1 final a bit, unless someone other than me volunteers to do the usual release-related work.
The reason: I can't work on Frugalware between aug 20th and 30th (I will
be online sometimes, but rarely), and releasing 1.1 final on sep 1 would
result it a lower quality - giving my name to such a relase would make
me feel bad.
So the 1.1 freeze plan would be:
Aug 31 evening - latest fixes (causing a release bump)
Sep 1 evening - fixing packages syncpkg failed to build
Sep 2 evening - uploading snapshot isos to the -current-iso dir for
testing
Sep 3 evening - creating the -1.1 tree
Sep 4 evening - uploading usual updates to -stable (pacman-g2,
pacman-tools to default to stable)
Sep 5 evening - upload of final isos
Sep 7 morning - release
If nobody objects I would update the roadmap accordingly tonight, before
I leave.
The extra 6 days could be used to fix up not yet synced packages,
closing ancient bugs in the bugtracker and general bugfixing, which is
usually not possible due to lack of time when we bump versions on a
daily basis.
