hi, i'm experiencing the very same kernel bug described in this thread's first post
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=87879 The device is a Fujitsu Lifebook S7110 with intel 945G. How to deal with it? I tried to resolve the issue: - testing on runlevel 2 with mplayer's FB output ->seems no issue - disabling kms on grub command line -> X won't start - i used no xorg config, generated one with xconfig -> problem remained - disabled acceleration in xorg.conf -> still glitches - tried with both KDE+GNOME, with a new user to sort out wm and applications bug. in kde i also disabled all effects -> did not get better As temporary remedy i changed the driver to vesa, it seems working now. How to proceed? Is it possible to fix it somehow or it will make to the errata? best, -- Péter XMPP, MSN: [email protected] _______________________________________________ Frugalware-devel mailing list [email protected] http://frugalware.org/mailman/listinfo/frugalware-devel
