Actually he could. :) If you want to avoid wasting your time, it's a
good idea to run git log -S'gtk-chtheme' and that will show you the
history of the package in Frugalware. If you get no results then you can
go ahead, probably your work is valuable. :)

you could search the repository's change log for references to the
