Dear Alexander Horn,
You are listed as the contact for Free Software Club of Kirksville.
Currently, Truman has 224 active student organizations, and I am
sending out this e-mail to gather spring 2006 roster information. A
new campus instrument was created that will help us enhance our
services for individuals and student organizations. We have three
purposes in asking student organizations help in collecting membership
information. The first purpose is to allow the CSI to maintain
current records for student organization and membership and,
therefore, provide supporting programming and information relevant to
our student organizations. The second purpose is to provide better
service to organization leaders who will be able to receive
organization rosters and, in the future, historical information. The
third purpose is a benefit for individual students. Based on the data
that we gather over the next few years, we will be able to offer a
co-curricular record for students beginning in the Spring Semester of
2009. Students will be able to request this record be sent to
graduate schools and/or prospective employers to chronicle and verify
their out-of-class experiences while at Truman.
We are asking that each organization complete the attached spreadsheet
by 5:00 pm, April 7, 2006 and submit it to the Center for Student
Involvement electronically by replying to this email or emailing
[EMAIL PROTECTED]. Failure to complete the attached form will result in
your organization becoming inactive until the information is provided.
Inactive organizations will have their CSI mailbox removed and will
be unable to reserve rooms for Fall 2006. The information required is
a Banner number, first name, last name, and middle initial or name. In
addition, any individual who holds a leadership role within the
organization should be identified from the list of roles provided.
Please select one of these to label the appropriate leadership
positions. If there is not an exact match, please pick the title that
best describes the position.
If your organization completed a spreadsheet last fall, please review
your spreadsheet and make appropriate changes to reflect the
membership and officers for this spring. If you did not submit a
spreadsheet last semester, please submit one for fall and for spring
and specify which semester they are.
We are very excited about this opportunity as we continue to find ways
to enhance our services for the students of Truman State University.
