Dear Dr. Bindner and Zachary, Hello, my name is Larry Zheng and I am the chairperson for Omicron Delta Kappa’s Hall of Fame committee. Each spring ODK awards deserving faculty, staff, and graduating seniors at the Leadership Recognition Banquet for their outstanding contributions to the Truman State University campus! In order to find those individuals who have made the most impact during their time at Truman, we need your nominations! If possible, it would be great if your organization could nominate *at least two student members* * and* *one faulty/staff* who you believe deserving of this award. Most of student recipients also have great opportunities to receive excellent post-graduation scholarships to meet their professional and academic goals. There is no coincidence! It is because the Student Hall of Fame award is a true reflection of leadership qualities that are highly desirable in today's competitive environment. To receive the Student Hall of Fame award, the student must graduate by December 2012 and have consistent campus and community involvement, show strong evidence of personal and professional development, and hold an excellent academic record. Qualifications for the Faculty/Staff award include: · Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement in serving others · Surpasses established performance expectations · Has a significant impact on the university through outstanding dedication, competence, conscientious performance and ingenuity. · Has demonstrated an exceptional ability to foster collaboration, communication, and cooperation among colleagues. · Has performed at a level above and beyond normal job requirements. · Contributes to and demonstrates a commitment to the university's core purpose and values. A selection committee will choose three deserving nominees in each category (student/faculty/staff) to receive this year’s awards. Nomination forms are attached with this email or a paper copy is available in the Student Affairs office (SUB). Priority deadline for nominations are due by *February 20, 2012 at 5:00 p.m*. Please fill in the form and return the paper nomination forms to the ODK mailbox in the Center for Student Involvement (SUB). Direct any further questions to [email protected].
