The BBC World Service has a weekly program called _Global Business_ with
Peter Day. The latest one covered patents, including, according to the
person who half heard it in the middle of the night, software patents.
It's still available to listen to online for a little while.

I haven't had time to listen yet but thought that if it did cover
software patents then that's good because publicity is half the battle,
even if it's not putting all points of view, and it gives a `peg' on
which to hang correspondence. "Dear Mr. Day, Bravo/Harumph!."
